Aledo overview
Located just fifteen miles west of Fort Worth, the city of Aledo has the feel of a close-knit, small-town community with all the amenities of larger cities. Housing options include luxury ranches, equine properties, single-family homes on multiple acre lots and master-planned subdivisions. Access to major highways allows residents to easily commute to businesses in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.

Within Aledo, there are several master planned communities with private swimming pools, athletic clubs, village markets and more.
Aledo - Morningstar
The master planned community of Morningstar in Aledo features 120 acres of open green spaces. It’s filled with native wildflowers, man-made lakes and streams that run throughout the community and surround a palatial community center. Residents enjoy miles of hike and bike trails that wind along creeks lined with large mature trees and natural landscaping.
Morningstar’s amenity center and clubhouse includes resort-style pools for kids and adults, cabanas, play yards and lakeside entertainment lawns.
Morningstar presents a wide range of home styles and sizes from 1,800 to 4,000 square foot. The median home price is approximately $400,000. As with any master planned community, you’ll need to budget for the Homeowners Association dues as well. Currently, dues are around $850/year.
Aledo - The Parks of Aledo
As the name suggests, the Parks of Aledo, is a master planned community with mother nature at the heart of its design. More than 80 acres within this community offer spacious meadows, lush open green spaces and running streams with breathtaking waterfalls. Other amenities include a six mile mountain bike trail, a 9-disc golf course, a dog park, outdoor workout stations, a community garden and playground with two tree forts.
In comparison to Morningstar and Walsh Ranch, two of the other popular master planned communities in Aledo, the homes in Parks of Aledo tend to be larger yet have lower property taxes and lower HOA annual dues.
Homes are a mix of semi and fully custom designed homes with a variety of
architectural styles. Prices range from $425,000 to $725,000 with square footage
ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 per home.
Aledo - Walsh Ranch
Walsh Ranch in Aledo, the most well-known of Aledo’s master communities, is the largest development of its kind among any major city in the United States. With more than 7,200 acres, Walsh Ranch offers residents everything you need without having to leave the community, including its own elementary school, Walsh Elementary.
The many amenities in the residential portion of the development are located in what residents call The Village. You’ll find workout facilities, a market, a resort style pool and tennis and basketball courts. Numerous parks, playgrounds, dedicated dog parks and a private lake truly make it a neighborhood that pretty much has it all.

Painted brick and colored siding mark this neighborhood and set it apart from what is typical of North Texas neighborhoods.
While there is a range of lot and home sizes, the entry price of homes tend to be in
the high $500,00 range. Larger homes with expansive square footage are in the high
six figure to low seven figure range.
Weatherford
Weatherford sits about 30 miles west of Fort Worth with a population of approximately 30,000 residents. It’s strong western heritage is appealing to those looking for a rural lifestyle with a small town feel but just a short distance from a big city.
The excellent schools and historic homes are also a draw for many residents.
You also have the appeal of Lake Weatherford that offers activities such as boating, wakeboarding, water skiing, and fishing.
Homes are moderate in size with an average square footage of 2,000 square feet and price ranges from $250,000 to $400,000.

Willow Park

The city of Willow Park, located in east Parker County is 10 minutes from Weatherford, 15 minutes from Aledo and approximately 25 minutes west of Fort Worth. With a population of less than 7,000, many people are attracted to the allure of living in a small town that offers easy access to multiple larger cities, including Fort Worth.

Most students living in Willow Park are eligible to attend Aledo ISD schools, although some of the boundaries extend into Weatherford ISD as well.
​
While there are multiple housing options within the city, Willow Park North, a mixed-use planned community, has recently attracted many residents to the area. Willow Park North features a mixture of retail, dining, recreation, and housing and
embraces big city experience while preserving the small town values of Parker County

homes being in the $550,000 range.
