East of Fort Worth

Arlington

Strategically located within the center of the DFW Metroplex, Arlington is approximately 15 miles east of downtown Fort Worth and 20 miles west of downtown Dallas and approximately 8 miles from DFW International Airport.

Called by many as the entertainment capital of North Texas, Arlington is most well-known for being home to the ironically named Dallas Cowboys NFL football team and the AT&T Stadium and the Texas Rangers MLB baseball team and Globe Life Park. It’s also known for Six Flags and the water park, Hurricane Harbor. All four of which can be easily accessed right off of I-30.

Another big draw to Arlington is the affordability and variety of housing options in Arlington from apartments, townhomes, condominiums, homes and private gated communities. Convenience to both Fort Worth and Dallas also makes it a popular area for those who enjoy being close to both cities.

Top neighborhoods to live in Arlington include Viridian, downtown Arlington, East Arlington, Pantego, Southwest Arlington and Dalworthington Gardens. Whether you’re looking for urban living or a quieter more suburban type neighborhood, Arlington truly has a neighborhood for everyone.

While the median home price is around $599,000, you can find many options that are more affordable but also seven figure homes with expansive lots, square footage and a wide variety of architectural styles.

Mansfield

Mansfield is a small, yet growing suburb of Fort Worth. It offers residents a sparse suburban feel with access to all the more urban amenities you could desire.

Mansfield is an attractive choice for Texas newcomers who wish to be close to their job in Fort Worth yet far enough away that the homes are affordable and the neighborhoods quiet. With downtown Fort Worth just 30 minutes away during rush hour, it’s easy to commute into the city and back.

If you’re an outdoor lover, you’ll enjoy the city’s 800 acres of parkland and trails. Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park is the crown jewel of Mansfield’s parks and recreation system, featuring more than 80 acres of woods, open fields, granite trails, and natural ponds.

From properties starting in the $300,000 range to upwards of close to seven figures, it’s an attractive option for home buyers of all budgets.
