Aledo - Morningstar

The master planned community of Morningstar in Aledo features 120 acres of open green spaces. It’s filled with native wildflowers, man made lakes and streams that run throughout the community and surround a palatial community center. Residents enjoy miles of hike and bike trails that wind along creeks lined with large mature trees and natural landscape.

Morningstar’s amenity center and clubhouse are complete with resort-style pools for kids and adults, cabanas, play yards, and lakeside entertainment lawns.

Morningstar presents a wide range of home styles and sizes from 1,800 to 4,000 square foot. The median home price is approximately $400,000. As with any master planned community, you’ll need to budget for the Homeowners Association dues as well. Currently, dues are around $850/year.

Aledo - The Parks of Aledo

As the name suggests, the Parks of Aledo, is a master planned community with mother nature at the heart of its design. More than 80 acres offer spacious meadows, lush open green spaces and running streams with breathtaking waterfalls. Residents also enjoy a six mile mountain bike trail, a 9-disc golf course, a dog park, outdoor workout stations, a community garden and playground with two tree forts.

In comparison to Morningstar and Walsh Ranch, two of the other popular master planned communities in Aledo, the homes in Parks of Aledo tend to be larger yet have lower property taxes and lower HOA annual dues.

Homes are a mix of semi and fully custom designed homes with a variety of architectural styles. Prices range from $425,000 to $725,000 with square footage ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 per home.

Aledo - Willow Park

Walsh Ranch in Aledo, the most well-known of Aledo’s master communities, is the largest development of its kind among any major city in the United States. With more than 7,200 acres, Walsh Ranch offers residents everything you need without having to leave the area, including its own elementary school, Walsh Elementary.

The many amenities in the residential portion of the development are located in what residents call The Village. You’ll find workout facilities, a market, a resort style pool and tennis and basketball courts. Numerous parks, playgrounds, dedicated dog parks and a private lake truly make it a neighborhood that pretty much has it all.

Painted brick and colored siding mark this neighborhood and set it apart from what is typical of North Texas neighborhoods.

While there is a range of lot and home sizes, the entry price of homes tend to be in the high $500,00 range. Larger homes with expansive square footage are in the high six figure to low seven figure ranch.
